The end of the first round of qualifying for the  FIP Platinum Marseille , disputed at  CAP 7 The tournament once again offered its share of close matches and impressive performances from the French players. Several French players were involved in the final rotations of the day, including a highly anticipated all-French duel… and plenty of action on almost every court.

 Vives / Joris emerge victorious from a huge all-French duel 

It was  the match of the day . Manual  Vives  and Maxime  Joris  were facing Thomas  Vanbauce  and Julien  Seurin  in an intense, committed and very high-level duel.
After a  first set mastered  (6/4), Vives and Joris seemed to have gained the upper hand. But the momentum shifted in the second set. The rallies became more intense, Vanbauce and Seurin gained momentum, and at  6/5 , four consecutive unforced errors by Joris / Vives give the set to their opponents (5/7).

The third act is a reflection of the match:  tense, indecisive, breathless Vanbauce and Seurin break serve immediately, but Vives and Joris react instantly, reeling off games and breaking serve, before being caught off guard at  5/4 Don't panic:  immediate break then a final burst of acceleration to conclude  7/5 .
A well-deserved victory, at the end of a very spectacular match.

 Next round  : major challenge in the face of  Nacho Moragues / Alfonso Sánchez ,  seeded 6  qualifications.

 Guichard/Geens showing mental fortitude despite fatigue 

Another solid performance from the French side:  Dylan Guichard  and the Belgian  Clement Geens  secured their place after a three-set match against  Calvo / Suescun .
Despite the accumulated fatigue during the  French Interclub Championships held the day before The pair started very strongly and cruised through the first set (6/2).

The second set is closer. Guichard/Geens break at  5/4  and serve for the match… before being caught, then giving in to  tie-breaker No need to panic, though: in the third round, they came back strong and won.  6/2 , confirming their status as  seeded 4 .

 Next round  face  Marcel Font / Iago Fuertes .

 Robert / Boronad in good shape 

Young people  Jeremy Robert  et  Yoann Boronad  They had a very good first round. They faced the Spanish team.  Sergio Nieto / José Román Martínez They are playing a very serious match, with  a break in each set to establish itself  6 / 4, 6 / 4 .
A solid and mature performance.

 An unexpected Franco-French duel among the alternative parties 

With several packages booked during the day,  alternates  have integrated the table, offering a  new 100% French duel  across  Raphael Rubio / Tristan Piombo  et  Théo Suzanna / Rémy Gourre .
After a close first set lost in a tie-break, Suzanna and Gourre completely turned the situation around to win.  6/7 6/1 6/3 .

They will face in the next round  Víctor Tur Checa / Agustín Reca .
