From the 2026 sports seasonA major regulatory change is coming into effect in French padel: the Membership in a padel club becomes mandatory for any participation in official championshipsthat they are disputed in pairs ou by teams.

This measure, formalized by the French Tennis Federation, aims to clarify the sporting affiliations of players and to secure the qualification conditions across all federal competitions.

Strict deadlines to be met

For the pairs championships (departmental, regional or national), the rule is clear:
Membership in the padel club – and therefore the acquisition of a license – must be validated no later than December 31, 2025..

The same requirement applies to the team championships high-level (Regional 1, Interregional Conferences, National 2 and National 1), with a The deadline remains the same, set for December 31, 2025..
For the other divisions, the specific conditions remain detailed in the league regulations.

Key point to remember: Only the date of validation of the affiliation by the club is valid., and not simply the player's request.

Joining a padel club: an essential requirement from the 2026 season onwards

A paperless procedure via TEN'UP and ADOC

The demand for padel affiliation is done directly from theplayer's TEN'UP space.
It must then be validated by the club concerned via its interface ADOC.

It is this official validation that determines the player qualification within the regulatory deadlines.

Automatic or non-automatic attachment: distinct situations

The situation varies depending on the license type and nature of the club :

  • A licensed player Padel in a club exclusively padel ou tennis & padel is automatically attached to this club.
  • The same principle applies to a player holding a license. Multi-racket in a club with padel tracks.
  • On the other hand, a player Multi-racket player licensed in a club exclusively for tennis has no padel connection by default.
He must then explicitly declare a padel clubhaving at least one track, if he wishes to participate in regional pairs championships or to padel team championships.

In this case, the attachment must absolutely comply with the regulatory deadlines.

When can you change your padel account affiliation?

Only certain profiles can choose one different padel club from their tennis club:

  • Players with a license Multi-racket in a club exclusively tennis ou tennis & padel.
  • Conversely, a licensed player paddle (or multi-racket) in a club exclusively padel wishing to play for another club will have to go through a official club transfer procedure, in accordance with federal sports regulations.

A fundamental principle: one club per sport

The regulations now allow for a separate organization depending on the discipline:

  • A player can compete in the tennis team championships for Club A.
  • And represent a Club B for padel competitionsincluding in a other league.

In this case, it is indeed the affiliated padel club which will be taken into account for the qualification for the pairs and team padel championships.

This reform reinforces the need for each player to check his administrative status before the end of 2025.
A careful reading of Guide "règles générales“, available on the FFT website, is strongly recommended in order to avoid any non-qualification related to an incomplete or late attachment.
