The 2026 season has barely begun, but top-level padel has already resumed. One month after the Barcelona Finals, the world's best players met again in  Mar del Plata man from January 16 to 18, for the  Summer Pro Padel 2026 , first meeting of the pre-season.

A team tournament, conceived as a working laboratory, but also as a true test of competitiveness.

 The return of a legend

Among the highlights of the event, it's impossible not to mention the return to the track of  Juan Martín Díaz .
Fifteen years world number 1, a major figure in the history of padel, the Argentinian returned to the court two years after hanging up his paddle, offering a powerful and symbolic moment for the entire circuit.

Two projects 100% focused on 2026

The final pitted two pairs against each other who perfectly embody the new dynamic of the circuit:

 Franco Stupaczuk / Mike Yanguas
vs
 Juan Lebrón / Leo Augsburger

Two ambitious partnerships, designed for the 2026 season.
Although Lebrón and Augsburger had already finished the 2025 season together, their real project is now a long-term one.
Same observation for  Stupaczuk / Yanguas , a brand new pair, awaited with curiosity and a lot of ambition.

This first confrontation, even in an exhibition context, had the value of  first full-scale test .

 A challenging and revealing final

The match lived up to all its promises: intensity, pace, tension and sequences of very high level.
Finally,  Stupaczuk / Yanguas  are imposed in  two tie-breaks (7/6 7/6) by making a difference on the key points.

A significant success on a symbolic level.
The automatic mechanisms are already well in place, the complementarity is obvious, and the level displayed is reassuring for the rest of the season.

 A message for 2026

This title allows the team to  Carlos Pozzoni  to win the Summer Pro Padel 2026 versus that of Agustín Gómez Silingo .

But beyond the trophy, this victory sends a clear signal:
Stupa/Yanguas are ready And this first meeting, even a friendly one, is already indicative of their potential for 2026.

A promising start, and a project to follow very closely.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
