International padel is today organized around two pillars: the FIP Tour, managed by the International Federation of Padel, and the personalised tour Premier Padel, launched in 2022 with the support of Qatar Sports Investments (QSI). Two complementary competitions that do not pursue the same objectives and do not target the same profile of players.
Two circuits, two vocations
Le FIP Tour is above all a development circuit, but also and above all THE gateway for players who hope to play the main draws of tournaments Premier Padel. It allows young players, or those looking to progress in the world hierarchy, to confront international competition. Since the 2025 reform, many players from the Top 60 worldwide regularly participate in FIP events, because the regulations Premier Padel is much more complicated for qualifying players. Some FIP tournaments are sometimes very tough with even players in the world's top 40/30.
Conversely, Premier Padel brings together the world's elite and is the showcase of professional padel. With its high-profile tournaments, high prize money and much higher points, it represents the equivalent of ATP Masters 1000 and Grand Slams for tennis.
Tournament categories
FIP Tour: an international springboard
- FIP Bronze : entry category, 5 days of tournament, reduced prize money.
- FIP Silver : 5 days also, semi-finals and finals, intermediate prize money.

The FIP Tour is the equivalent of the Tennis Challengers : an essential step to make a name for yourself and collect points.

Two complementary circuits
Rather than opposing the two circuits, we must see them as complementary. FIP Tour prepares players to take the step to the very highest level, while Premier Padel embodies the global showcase of sport, with unparalleled media coverage and visibility.
The FIP Tour is the equivalent of the Tennis Challengers : an essential step to make a name for yourself and collect points.
Conversely, Premier Padel brings together the world's elite and is the showcase of professional padel. With its high-profile tournaments, high prize money and much higher points, it represents the equivalent of ATP Masters 1000 (P1) and Grand Slams (Major) for tennis.
