Le Milan P1 redistributed the cards of the FIP ranking, especially among men where the victory ofAlejandro Galán et Federico Chingotto has rekindled the fight for the world number 1 spot.
Men's: Galán and Chingotto return to the match
The leaders Arturo Coello et Agustín Tapia retain their throne, always equal with 20 000 points each one. But behind them, Gallant et Chingotto are getting seriously closer with 14 570 points, their smallest gap for several months.
Franco Stupaczuk completes the top 5 (9,290 pts), while Juan Lebrón gains one place (6th, 8,220 pts) at the expense of Miguel Yanguas (7th, 7,970 pts).
Further down, Javier Garrido et Juan Tello move up one rank to enter the top 20, confirming their consistency.
Women's: Triay remains queen, but the Spanish shake up the hierarchy
Despite his withdrawal from the semi-finals in Milan, Gemma Triay retains first place in the world with 18 840 points, before Delfi Brea (17 pts).
Ari Sánchez et Paula Josemaría, titled in Milan, are back in position (14,740 pts) and reduce the gap at the top.
Behind, Claudia Fernández (13,130 pts), followed by Bea González (10,860 pts) and Sofia Araújo (7 pts).
But the strongest progressions come from the middle of the table:
- Martina Calvo climb of two places and integrates for the first time the world top 16 (16th, 7,970 pts).
- Marta Caparrós sign the biggest climb of the week with three ranks won, rising to the 25th place (2 pts).
- However, Alix Collombon falls back another row and now points 27th in the world.
The FIP Finals in sight
Less than two months from the FIP Finals Barcelona, eight male players and ten female players are already assured of participating.
- Qualified men: Coello, Tapia, Galán, Chingotto, Stupaczuk, Lebrón, Nieto and Yanguas
- Qualified women: Triay, Brea, Sánchez, Josemaría, Fernández, González, Araújo, Ortega, Ustero and Icardo
There are still a few places to be won, and the upcoming tournaments will be decisive for the last invitations to the Palau sant jordi.
