New association in 2026 Tino Libaak and Álex Chozas move forward with a clear ambition: to integrate the Top 8 worldwide and qualify for the Final Master Between progression, complementarity, and the demands of top-level competition, the two Argentinians are laying the foundations for a solid project in an interview given to Brand.
An association born from a long history
They have known each other almost all their lives. Libaak and Chozas have crossed paths since childhood at youth tournaments in Argentina, where they regularly faced each other.
"We were already talking about it last year. I really wanted to play with him," explains Chozas.
The project came to fruition at the start of this season, after several attempts with other partners. Today, the pair is gradually establishing itself, supported by a strong relationship and a structured working environment. We first saw them together, on the French side, during the FIP Platinum of Marseille On the track, the audience was quickly struck by their intensity: two players possessed committed to every point, with a real energy that leaves no one indifferent.
A stated objective: to break into the Top 8
There's no beating around the bush in their speech: their ambition is clear.
"The goal is to be among the top eight pairs," Libaak announced. "We know we're still a long way off and that it takes time."
In an increasingly competitive circuit, every round is a battle. "As soon as you get through the first match, the next one is very difficult. That's where you have to take the next step," Chozas points out.
A pair geared towards attack… but evolving
Their gaming identity is well defined.
"We like to be at the net, imposing our game in attack," Libaak sums up.
But in recent weeks, the work has shifted towards another area: defense. "We've spent a lot of time defending, sometimes without even coming to the net, to improve in that area."
A necessary adjustment to gain consistency over time.

Two different paths, one same ambition
Chozas took a significant turn when leaving the A1 Padel to fully commit to the main circuit.
"I decided to risk everything to try and live my dream," he confides, referring to the sacrifices necessary to settle in Spain.
Libaak, on the other hand, experienced a faster progression: "I had a clear vision very early on. As soon as I had the opportunity to come to Spain, I seized it."
Both are now seeking to establish themselves permanently among the elite.
The injury, a difficult time for Libaak
Last season was marked by a significant injury for the young Argentinian.
"There were times when I couldn't even stay on the couch or sleep normally," he says.
Having stayed in Barcelona for treatment, he returns today fully operational: "Now I feel very good physically, with more confidence."
Versatility and high standards on a daily basis
Chozas possesses a rare characteristic: it is capable of playing on both sides of the field.
"My father taught me to play on both the right and left wings. I knew that would be an advantage."
A versatility that he also recommends to young players, in an increasingly demanding padel environment.
The Final Master's as a horizon
Beyond improving the rankings, one objective clearly stands out.
“Playing in the Master Final would be a dream,” Chozas confides.
Libaak shares the same view: "That's the main objective. It would be a first for both of us."
Still in the building phase, the Argentinian pair is moving forward with clarity. But with a well-defined goal: to get closer, tournament after tournament, to the very best pairs on the circuit.
