Saturday's results clearly reshuffled the deck across all the P1000 tournaments held this weekend. While some favorites lived up to expectations, it was especially the... numerous falls of top seeds which marked the beginnings of the tournaments. Almost no tournament was spared, with outsiders capable of overturning the hierarchy and making it into the final four.

P1000 TerraPadel Stopover / Lasserre at the table of the greats

This is undoubtedly one of the tournaments where the biggest upsets have left their mark. While the top two seeds performed well, the rest of the draw faltered.

The first warning came in the round of 3 with the elimination of the third seeds. Robin Petitdidier and Lucas Potel fell after an intense battle against Antoine Michel Alexeev and Sébastien Romero. A landmark victory… but one that didn't lead to anything further, as they were then stopped in the quarterfinals by Thomas Messina and Cyril Rouleau, who were solid and more consistent.

La real surprise The tournament's standout player, however, is Valentin Lasserre and Matthieu Escale. The Tarbes duo have had a remarkable run: after knocking out the fourth seeds in the round of 4, they confirmed their form in the quarterfinals against Steven and John Martel. A controlled victory that propels them into the next round. first P1000 semi-final, a great performance for this pair.

After a blistering start and several opportunities to pull away, they let two tie-breaks slip away where their opponents' experience proved decisive.

Although the other quarter-finals were clearer on paper, this confrontation comes close to shaking things up.

Dornberger / Dupont-Brimbeuf vs Motz / Bernard
To be continued from 12pm

P1000 4Padel Rouen – Petit-Quevilly: the TS8 turns the tables

It was in Rouen that the hierarchy was most violently shaken. The third-seeded pair of Boutel/Brechemier came within a hair's breadth of the semi-finals… before collapsing.

After letting a cruel first set slip away, they reacted perfectly in the second, but then ran into a tactically extremely solid Toussaint/Lefevre duo. TS8 pulls off a huge coup by eliminating one of the title contenders.

Elsewhere, the other seeded players avoided the trap, but the message is clear: in Rouen, no one is safe.

Semi-finals:
Forcin / Marie vs Dandois / Deknuydt
Perez Le Tiec / Perez Le Tiec vs Toussaint / Lefevre

The second-seeded pair of De Meyer/Sarrat were stopped by Roux/Moura, who were more consistent and more effective in the key moments. Meanwhile, Coulombeau/Truong (seeded 4th) fell to Arette-Hourquet/Larue, who had a great tournament.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
