Build padel courts at altitudeExposed to cold and snow, this represents a rare technical challenge. Yet, this is the challenge taken up by VW SPORTS, with the realization of two custom-built padel courts in Courchevel, directly at the foot of the ski slopes.

An extraordinary project, designed to allow the practice of padel in winter conditions, without interruption.

Padel courts designed for year-round play

As explained Martin Boulant, managing director of VW SPORTS, these tracks were developed to remain open even in the middle of winter, thanks to a integrated heating system :

  • Heated concrete slablimiting freezing and snow accumulation
  • Heated carpetensuring stable playing conditions despite sub-zero temperatures
  • Goal : ensure playability throughout the season, at a ski resort

A 100% tailor-made project

These two padel courts have been completely customboth structurally and aesthetically:

  • Custom synthetic turf with integrated logo
  • Closure of the central aisle for better climate protection
  • Closing off one large sideadapted to the mountain environment
  • Custom-made supports and components, designed specifically for this construction site

Every detail has been designed to integrate seamlessly into the site, while also meeting the requirements of altitude, wind and snow constraints.

Building padel courts in the mountains: a specific expertise

Carry out padel courts in the resort This involves significant logistical and technical constraints: site access, weather conditions, short deadlines, adaptation of materials.

With this installation in Courchevel, VW SPORTS confirms its positioning:

  • custom padel court builder,
  • capable of intervening on complex sites,
  • and to propose innovative technical solutions, like heated padel.

A project that perfectly illustrates the evolution of padel towards... premium locationsincluding in environments that have been little used until now.
